Swimming Lessons

Dear Parents/Guardians, 

Our Kindergarten students are excited about the up-coming swim lessons at the Thornhill Fitness & Aquatic Center on the following dates:

·      June 12 -15 & June 19 - 20

The following is our swimming/bus schedule:

AM CLASS

·      Leave School: 8:00

·      Lesson Time: 8:30 – 9:10

·      Leave Pool: 9:35

PM CLASS

·      Leave School: 12:30

·      Lesson Time: 1:00 – 1:40

·      Leave Pool: 2:00

Students will travel to and from the pool on a chartered school bus.  It is very important that all students arrive at the school on time.

The morning Kindergarten students are scheduled to leave the school at 8:00am. If you can, please have your AM child arrive at the school 10 minutes early to ensure that we can take attendance and get on the bus in a timely manner.

Please have your child wear their swimsuit under their school clothes on lesson days (no underwear). This will assist us with helping your child get in the pool as quickly as possible. As well, have your child bring a towel and underwear in a labeled plastic bag. We ask that you do not send in any toys or special items to the pool, as we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items. 

The students have been placed into their swimming lesson groups based on their previous swimming experience.  Swimming teachers and lifeguards will be closely monitoring all of the children during the Water Safety Program.
