Hello Kindergarten Parents,
A big part of a child's development is learning about themselves. During story time today, we read the book Why Should I Share. In Kindergarten, we are busy learning every day and an important part of our time together is learning how to share with each other and learning how to be a member of the classroom. Our classroom motto is "sharing is caring".
In our literacy time this week, we have been learning about CVC words. A CVC word is a word that is made up of a consonant, vowel and consonant. Cat, hot, tip, man and hut are all CVC words. We will be encouraging all our students to sound out and read CVC words. We will also be encouraging all of the students to practice spelling out CVC words to help get them ready for grade one. Please have your child teach you our fun new CVC Word Song. You can support your child's reading and writing by practicing CVC words at home together.
Thanks you so much for your help and support. Keeping reading & writing !
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Lai
