Hello!

Dear Kindergarten Parents,

My name is Michelle Lai and I am thrilled to be your child's kindergarten teacher. I feel very fortunate that I was able to meet all of the children before Spring Break.  I really enjoyed getting to know all of them.  What a great bunch of kids ! 

I also feel very grateful, that I was able to work very closely with Mrs. Fendley before her maternity leave started. Mrs. Fendley has done such a tremendous job planning for the student's learning.  We were able to collaborate and spend significant time together in March  in order to plan for a smooth transition for the students. 

I enjoyed meeting some of the families before Spring Break.  For those of you I have not had a chance to meet with yet, please let me introduce myself to you. Teaching is my passion.  I just love teaching. Over the past 17 years, I have taught a variety of subjects and grades.  However,  Kindergarten is my very favorite.  I love the student's enthusiasm, creativity and joy in learning. 

When I am not busy with my cute Kindergarten class I love spending time with my family.  My husband, Cambel, and I have been married for thirteen years.  We have two amazing children Madeline & Keagan.  Madeline is in grade two.  She just turned eight and she loves animals.  Keagan turned five in January.  He is a happy little guy who enjoys gymnastics. Keagan will also be starting Kindergarten in September.
